Mapping Forbidden Adjacencies
Peter Levenda is an American author who follows the overlap of occultism, political violence, intelligence history, religious movements and anomalous experience. His most influential works include Unholy Alliance, the three-volume Sinister Forces and the Sekret Machines books written with Tom DeLonge.
His maps bring together subjects that modern histories often separate. Secret societies meet state power, myth becomes propaganda and religion enters coercion. Esoteric aspiration accompanies political brutality. These relations have often operated together in practice.
The conjunction can persist through changing carriers without one continuous hidden organization. Levenda’s archive includes documents, witness material, rumor, disputed interpretation and synthesis. Its pattern gains strength where the same relation survives a change of people or institutions.
Three Expansions of the Same Adjacency
Unholy Alliance enters through the occult state. Nazi myth, SS institutions and Ahnenerbe join racial cosmology, ritual and political violence. Sinister Forces follows those relations into America. Occult subcultures, intelligence, cultic groups, assassination, spectacle and anomalous claims repeatedly share people and places there.
Sekret Machines carries the conjunction into managed public contact. UAP history and ancient-contact stories meet former officials, intelligence interest and TTSA-era disclosure. The archive’s scale widens while secrecy, transgression, spectacle, intelligence and myth remain together. Institutional permission lets their participants cross boundaries that constrain ordinary people.
Occultism and the Third Reich
Unholy Alliance shows how Nazi symbolism and racial myth entered institutional violence. Mythic identity, archaeology and blood fantasy helped organize the regime. Ritualized loyalty and a sacred national destiny gave those forms political force. Their effectiveness did not require every official to be an occultist.
The danger develops when myth grants permission. A symbol becomes a blood claim, an origin story becomes a hierarchy and promised rebirth authorizes cruelty. This operation exceeds decorative eccentricity without requiring magic to have secretly caused the Third Reich.
Operation Paperclip transfers personnel, methods and facilities into the postwar world. The original conjunction continues through those new institutions. The transfer alone does not establish that every later intelligence or aerospace program became an occult order.
Sinister Forces and the Egregoric Problem
Sinister Forces places American political violence beside magical orders, cultic groups, intelligence histories and ritual symbolism. It asks why secrecy, transgression, spectacle, charismatic authority and institutional insulation gather around the same events.
The egregore recruits the pattern’s continuation across changing personnel. Incentives and secrecy give it persistence, while fear, myth and money organize participation. Compromised people become bound to its protection. Others enter because they confuse transgression with power. These relations can sustain the pattern without a single mastermind.
An apparatus exceeds its individual employees when it organizes attention and behavior into a form that reproduces itself. Actual people, decisions and documents give that form its body. Its consequences include actual victims. Naming its occult operation leaves the human cost intact.
The Simon / Necronomicon Attribution
The pseudonym “Simon,” attached to the 1977 Necronomicon, has been associated with Levenda for decades. He has denied being Simon. Copyright and bibliographic associations do not settle authorship or establish the text as a recovered ancient grimoire.
The modern book becomes operational through use. Lovecraftian fiction and Mesopotamian names enter ritual practice, publishing, expectation and community. Together, those activities build a living symbolic instrument. Its cultural action concerns what happens when people organize attention and conduct around the text, regardless of the contested attribution or antiquity.
TTSA and the UAP Public
Levenda’s collaboration with Tom DeLonge placed him near a public UAP network of former intelligence, military and scientific figures. That public relationship establishes a real constellation of media and research. It leaves the phenomenon’s identity and the authorization of particular messages unresolved.
UAP Disclosure Theater develops the contest over disclosure. Vocabulary, timing, credible messengers, institutional permission and public imagination shape how facts reach an audience. Levenda’s books participate in that cultural system of carriers. Official statements, documents, reporting and firsthand testimony supply other carriers for comparison. Each can carry its own agenda.
Where Enchantment Went
Modernity moved enchantment into institutions, brands, nation-states, intelligence cultures, media systems and private myths of power. That conclusion survives the removal of disputed links from Levenda’s archive. The command room can disappear while the spell continues through people, incentives, symbols and permissions that have learned its shape.
